Who Said That?

"God is a superior trinity of Father, Son and Spirit.  Man is an inferior trinity of spirit, soul (mind) and body (flesh).  If a man's spirit is alive and uppermost, he has fellowship with God.  If a man's flesh is uppermost, his fellowship with God is broken, because God wants nothing to do with his sinful flesh.  Man can only meet God in the spirit."

Please leave your guess in the comments section below.  No google searches or cheating!  I'll post the answer next week (Lord willing).

Didn't Chuck Smith say we can only meet God in the realm of spirit?

It's interesting that this should come up as I am discussing trichotomy with some others at the moment. Dr Riddlebarger (or others), how would you deal with the trichotomist's reading of texts like 1 Cor 2-3 and Galatians 5? I think "spiritual" is speaking of the Holy Spirit, and I have had trichotomists agree that it is-yet still argue that it teaches trichotomy.

Trichotomy-PHEH.

Thanks for the link. It's kind of funny because the heart of discussion is revolving around whether trichotomy can lead to gnosticism (I think it does, but the other person doesn't see this).
