Songs You Love to Hate

I recently overheard two people on the radio arguing about which song they felt was the worst song of all time.  Given the readership of this blog, I thought that might make for an interesting discussion here!

Top of the list for me (in terms of popular music) is Cool and the Gang's "Jungle Boogie."  I hate that song, yet every time I hear it, it gets stuck in my head.

As for rock songs, tie goes to Black Oak Arkansas' "Jim Dandy" (I'm dating myself with this one--remember the video of this???) and Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law."  Just picturing Rob Halford sing gives me the heebeegeebees.

As for classical music, its got to be Ravel's "Bolero."  Too repetitive, too situationalized (if you get my drift).

As for hymns, its gotta be "He Lives."  I have my own lyrics to that one!

So, here are the categories for what is, in your opinion, the worst song (pop, rock, classical, hymn or Praise and worship).

Have fun!
