Who Said That?

"Speaking in tongues is as normal to me as, 'Pass the salt.'  A lot of religions use meditation or chanting.  It's a secret, direct prayer language to God.  My dad speaks in tongues and my mom interprets it.  That's their gift . . . .  I wasn't ever able to say I was 'lucky' because my mother would rather us say that we were blessed, and she also didn't like that lucky sounded like Lucifer.  'Deviled eggs were called 'angeled' eggs."

I immediately thought one of the Crouch's kids, but maybe a Bakker offspring?

Hmmm....frequent consumption of deviled eggs suggests someone southern (I lived in NC for 6 years, and they were served daily for either lunch or dinner). I'll go with a more current reference, Katy Perry.

I would have guessed Joel Osteen. His parents were leaders in the pentecostal/charismatic movement of their time.
