Who Said That?

"So we see that 2007 B.C. when Jacob was born is indeed a very significant day insofar as being a beginning for 4000 years.  And 2007 B.C. followed by 4000 years ends on -- yes, that's right -- on the year 1994 A.D.  How significantly, every path we follow using the prophetic numbers of the Bible focus on 1994 A.D."

This one should be easy, but lest we forget . . .

Please no google searches or cheating.  Answer to follow on May 22.

You know, when you think about it, someone's whacky prediction will be true.

Zrim: This raises a theological conundrum. You will recall the Lord promises to come when no-one expects it. What happens if every day is covered?

Are we now drifting into Harold Camping style exegesis?!

Phil, since what has been will be again and what has been done will be done again and there is nothing new under the sun, my prediction is that predictions will never cease.

knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation. (2 Peter 3:3-4)

I just want to be on record with this one since I probably won't be getting many others correct anytime soon;

Harold Camping

Did I win?

B Weber, you do know that what is being referred to in 2 Peter isn't scoffing in general of scoffing at the tourtured exegesis of a date setter..right? You do understand this? No one here is scoffing that the promise of the Lord's return.

I understand Jesus warns against date setting, and Camping will be wrong. However, I have detected a bit of the philosophy that leads to scoffing, which seems to be the idea that there is nothing new under the sun, therefore, God's intervention is impossible.
