Big Mansions, the Antichrist, and Workout Shorts
Here's a gem or two that readers sent to me of late.
These shorts, quite appropriately labeled, come from the folks at the Old Lutheran Gift Shop, where you can not only buy a new pair of workout shorts, but where you can also buy a six-pack of "Sin Boldly." You'll have to look that one up! Click here: Left Behind Gym Shorts: Old Lutheran Gift Shop (h.t. Mark Tritschler).
How come the Reformed don't have an "Old Calvinist Gift Shop?" My guess is that an old Calvinist would not be near as much fun as an old Lutheran!

And then there are these two links to "photo essays" over at Rapture Ready.
The first photo essay should give you all the incentive you need to work for that three-story heavenly mansion (Click here: Photorama), while the other lays out a list of potential candidates for Antichrist (Click here: Photorama) (h.t. Mrs. Guy deBresil)
I guess the Riddleblog is a close as the Reformed get to Rapture Ready . . .
Any thoughts? Send me links to stuff you find and I'll use them if they strike me as funny (or, if someone hasn't beat me to it).

Yes! Many people wanted to know if Bin Laden was the Anti-Christ? At the time I was not completely Reformed, but I was at the point where I was beginning to question my premillennial convictions which always seemed strange to me. Dyer's message was not very convincing. One of my his main points was that the likelihood of Bin Laden bringing peace to the Middle East was not very likely. It just all seemed to goofy to me!
I was even less convinced after he shortly thereafter published a book about Saddam Hussein and the end times. I never really did understand the newspaper approach to eschatology!
I did not change my eschatological position on that very day, but during my college years I progressed for disp. premill to historic premill. I am now Amill in my eschatology.
candidate for Antichrist."
I dunno, this man ( http://www.stallman.org/rms.jpg ) is pretty sinister.
Thanks for the clarification. I am probably dispensationalist, but "The Man of Sin" made quite an impression on me. I know Dr. MacArthur is refomed and premillenial. I have a Jewish study Bible (Tanakh) and, based on a study note on Daniel 11:14, let's just say no one has to deceive them if that accurately reflects Jewish thought, so deception directed at the church (as KR's book postulates) makes
more sense. I finished Man of Sin and will soon start "The Bible and the Future," which KR said's the best presentation of Ref. Amil. I thought Dr. Dyer's name sounded familiar, BTW.
Now if we can discuss those 2oo years of taxes you owe us.... :)
