Just When I Think I've Seen It All . . .

Let me get this straight . . .   A pastor is worried about the secularization of Christmas.

To protest this secularization, the pastor instructs church members to dress up like Jesus . . .

In other words, we should mock our Lord's humiliation in order to protest the "secularization" of Christmas?

What am I missing????

Only in the USA or maybe Canada. I wonder if pastors, using the term loosely, think before they come up with these things. Then there is Fox news that slams a church for exercising Biblical discipline on a member, yet then posts a rather positive account of this.

Pastor Kim, you're always talking about God using "irony"...does this qualify?

Thanks Robin,
Now that is commercialism. Let's have a party?? What are we celebrating New Years? Church is about Preaching the Word of God and Worshiping God Correctly, not throwing a party and confetti all over the place. I could not enjoy a service like that at all. I would be looking for the food and fellowship in that environment, not preaching and worshiping.
