Why John McCain wanted (or even accepted) John Hagee's endorsement is beyond me. Of course, the Dems cry foul. Hagee hates Catholics! Hagee hates gays! Missing from that list of course, is the fact that Hagee hates amillennarians . . . I'm offended. Click here: Democrats accuse well known Texas evangelical of hate speech (OneNewsNow.com).

What has happened since all of the discussion surrounding Packer and the ECT document. Wasn't there talk of Sproul, Horton, et al, breaking fellowship with him at that time? Just where does Dr. Packer fit in?
Obviously McCain sees everybody on the 'Christian Right' as cut from the same cloth, so he thought a Hagee endorsement would go over well with that consituency that he's gonna need.
Why can't gun advocates just be honest and say they like guns? I'd have an easier time with that than all the pontificating about "rights, freedom, and personal responsibility." It's like when my hunter family members try to justify a perfectly legitimate activity with all that "overpopulation and we're just helping curb their slow, painful death every winter." C'mon, just tell me you like guns and hunting and want to retain your rights to them. But don't tell me you're making the world a better/safer place for campuses or Bambi. All you gun advocates and their equally moralizing detractors seem more Gnostic than materialist to me. Prohibition and anti-public smoking were/are equally fueled by those who like certain material and those who don't, despite whatever attending esoterics.
