What to Do If You've Been Left Behind and Other Interesting Links from Around the Web
So, you've been "left behind" . . . Now what do you do? You'll certainly want to bookmark this website, just in case. BTW--thanks to all who sent me this link, and who have undoubtedly already signed up the "left behind" services found here). Click here: You've Been Left Behind
A number of people have pointed this out, but I really do encourage you to read Paul Helm's brilliant comparison of N. T. Wright and Richard Baxter (of the "Reformed Pastor" fame). Click here: Helm's Deep: Analysis 15 - Baxter's Soup and Wright's Soap
Better check your church's liability insurance. Next time you have a healing service, and your "catchers" drop someone, you just might get sued--for 2.5 million. I guess we'll have to change some of our proceedures @ Christ Reformed. Click here: Man Falls After Receiving Spirit, Sues - June 5, 2008
Seems like the Yankees have drafted a Lutheran! The Yank's first round pick in yesterday's baseball draft was a kid (Gerrit Cole) from sports powerhouse Orange Lutheran High School here in OC. He's got a great arm and a huge upside. Click here: The LoHud Yankees Blog

Brokering for peace is noble, but until someone actually finds a whole number between four and five in creation it seems the Nobel Peace Prize in the halls of redemption will just have to, ahem, wait...amil-style.
Looks to me like he got his miracle after all.
The only thing that matters right now in sports, is the Boston Celts winning their 17th championship (if Pierce is ok), and their 9th against the Lakers. Too bad that Red is no longer with us to light up his latest victory cigar -- in the Lutheran and Reformed traditions!!
Whatever!!!- I say in a slightly sarcastic way. I do enjoy watching the Celtics though and am rooting for them to beat the Lakers. Watch out for the Bulls in the years to come- they did get that lottery pick you know.
I got to your blog trying to find out the best way to contact any of the hosts of The White Horse Inn. As a result I am going to add this blog to my blogroll atthe URL I sent you.The reason I wanted to personally contact you is this:
I am a retired Army type and have been involved in ministry of various sorts for a number of years. One of the 'sorts' is to occasional bring a Sunday morning message when chaplains are in short supply on Ft. Carson, Colorado where I attend and serve.
Last Sunday I delivered a message dear to my heart concerning the definition of THE GOSPEL preached by Paul. One result of that was to break it down and post it to my Wordpress blog and the blog I have at a specific military ministry site (www.cmfhq.org).
I awoke really early this morning feeling the need to publish the first part of the planned series. Between writing it and before actually posting it I took a break, downloaded and listened to the newest broadcast, Assuming the Gospel!
I'm not claiming anything 'special' here, but is a tremendous blessing to this old soldier when I hear or read preaching and teaching from the reformed perspective by such learned and 'passionate for truth' men such as those on the White Horse Inn panel. Could you please pass this on to the rest of your panel?
Dan
I work for the White Horse Inn, and I have copied your message and passed it along to the hosts. Thanks so much for that encouragement and we appreciate your listening.

As for an back injury I understand about disc problems and how dangerious and easy you can reinjur it. So it is nothing to joke about. The amount that is being sued for is not a miracle as the injured man well have to alter his life idependfing on how severe the injuryis. Overkill for 2.5 million, but he should get a bit for his injuries.
