An Interesting Resource and Some Other Stuff from Around the Web

I'm not sure how "Reformed" this resource will be, but the more you know about commentaries (as expensive as they are) before you buy them, the better.  Here's a new website which reviews and recommends commentaries.  Some of the recommendations I'd agree with, others I wouldn't, but it is worth checking out, nonetheless.  Click here: BestCommentaries.com / Old and New Testament Bible Commentary reviews, ratings, and prices

I'm glad to see that other people hate iTunes as much as I do.  I don't want Safari on my desktop!  Click here: PC World - 11 Things We Hate About iTune

If Anaheim can have its Christian motorcycle gang (the Set Free Soldiers), then I guess Sweden can have its violent Cowboy-themed church, complete with line-dancing, and exorcisms.  I'm surprised TBN didn't get this idea first.   Click here: Swedish pastor accused of leading violent 'cowboy sect' - The Local

To the glee of many of you, this has been a tough year for my beloved Yankees.  The team has been hit hard by injuries, they've played with little passion, our young players have not performed up to expectations, and the team is clearly in full-rebuild mode.  But this news is tough to take.  Talk about adding insult to injury . . .  Click here: The LoHud Yankees Blog

While you sleep, your cat is plotting to kill you.  But your beloved Fido is doing his best to learn how to be a better pet.  One more reason why dogs are superior to cats!  Click here: Living with humans has taught dogs morals, say scientists | Mail Online

Kim,
Yes, realize this season has been tough for you.
Especially the second half, with the way the Yanks came out steaming hot winning what was it 8 in a row?

I thought they were really going to make it a three team race.

Here is my question for you.
You rooting for the Rays or the R Sox?

The Rays in their ten year history have never won more than 70 games.
This year they've already bettered that number, and still have five weeks remaining in the season.

Love your blog, thanks.

As a true (and long-time) baseball fan, I am now rooting for the Cubs. That would be great for baseball!

KR,
I love you as brother, but I can't listen to anyone complain about itunes when he still uses AOL. If you do not want safari on your desktop uninstall it. Though it is a nice browser. Just come over to the darkside and switch to Mac. We will welcome you. Even James White has switched to a mac. Also if you need to import songs just drop the folder on itunes it will import all the songs for you.

Baseball is hopping here in Chicago- the White Sox are coming on strong too. You are a good man Dr. Kim, ie. rooting for the Cubs. We may have a subway series (Chicago style) but I am not sure the White Sox can get by the Rays, Angels or Red Sox. Anything can happen in a short series though. Whoever happens to be on a role at the time usually wins.

The Cubs pitching looks extremely strong right now (both the starters and the newly pegged "nasty boys" in the bullpen- Wood, Marmol and the former Notre Dame wide receiver whose name is harder to spell than Scheilmacher- Jeff Samardzija) especially with the addition of Harden. I think he was a better pickup then Sabathia with the Brewers. The Cubs will probably sign Harden for next year where Sabathia will say bye-bye to the Brewers at the end of the year (he is a free agent). He just might go to the Yankees next year because they have the big bucks.

I am a proud Firefox user . . . Although I still use AOL for some things . . .

Every time iTunes updates, it installs Safari, tries to establish it as the default browser, and I then have to take the time to remove it.

None of the teams will want to play the Diamondbacks in the playoffs. The Diamondbacks will be pitching Brandon Webb, Dan Haran and Randy Johnson!!
