White Horse Inn is Taping in Front of a Live Audience

Here's the scoop:

Greetings Friends,

Have you ever wanted to join the conversation? On Friday, February 12, 2010 White Horse Inn is taping in front of a live audience and you are invited.

We trust you are benefiting from the 2010 series "Recovering Scripture" and we hope to see you soon.

White Horse Inn Live Taping in La Mirada

Who - Mike Horton, Ken Jones, Kim Riddlebarger, Rod Rosenbladt and you.

What - Live taping and Q&A regarding the topic of "Contending for the Faith" – How did the apostles contend for the faith in the book of Acts?  Did they appeal to the practical benefits of living life Jesus’ way?  Did they share their testimonies or inner experiences?  Did they encourage bland faith?  On this special live edition of White Horse Inn, the hosts will walk through the apologetic sermons in the book of Acts in order to discover the proper way to both defend, and contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.

It's held at a C.C.? Good for them! Hope a lot of Calvary Chapelites actually attend.

I believe "Calvary Chapel" is the name of the venue on the campus of Biola. I hope you pack it out! I hope to see you all there!

If Calvary Chapel has anything to do with it, they won't stick around too long. Their understanding of grace is much like the Roman Catholics.

It should be a fun night though!

Is Chuck Smith still alive? Here in Arizona you hardly hear anything about Calvary Chapel.

Lloyd:

The name of the chapel at Biola is "Calvary Chapel." This has nothing to do with that non-denominational denomination known as Calvary Chapel.

Chuck Smith teaches "post"destination. He says, "Glorious ya know, it's like God is in a blimp at the Rose Bowl parade. He can see the beginning and the end. He knows who will chose Him and who will reject Him. Then He choses us based on that. God always picks a winner."
Seriously...?

I ran into a quote yesterday that sounded much like something you guys (the White Horse Inn) could have lamented. I nod to this:

"It's just called "The Bible" now - we dropped the word "Holy" to give it a more mass-market appeal."

I was in the audience for this edition of WHI. I had never listened to the show before, but this was excellent! I also appreciated your comments about "smoking and drinking". (I'm the one who started the applauding.) Thank you for coming to Biola!
