Fall in Orange County

Another typical fall/winter day in Orange County.  It is nearly 70 degrees, the leaves on my Liquid Amber have turned bright red (the only fall foliage in my yard), and then they fall off.  Winter begins today and it is supposed to be 75 degrees on Christmas--probably too warm to build a rip-roaring fire (as is our custom).

California has its troubles--but the weather is usually glorious!

I feel most unsanctified right now.

Southern California weather is great until around the 7th of January, then it starts getting cold and rainy until April.

It's easier on you flatland folks. We hill people freeze out fannies off with temps closer to 72 degrees.

Gloating is uncool. Then again here in MA it was 55 degrees on the first day of winter. Every day like that takes us one closer to Spring.

We are not complaining here in South Dakota about the weather. Sunny and in the 40's. Like the person said from MA, every day without snow is one day closer to Spring.
I was in CA recently and it was rainy and COLD:-)
