Kim, I agree with everything you have said, but I feel you have sidestepped a crucial stumbling block for people like Jehovah's Witnesses in your quote of 1 Corinthians 8:6.

Paul says, "for us there is one God, the Father," which is often used as Biblical proof that the Father only is God & therefore the Son could not be.

When you have time, I would love you to revisit this and give us an in depth treatment of what Paul means by this comment. Thanks.

Terry:

You'll to give me a break on this one -- I'm on a 600-800 word limit for these posts. There are a host things which ought to be addressed, but which cannot be in a series like this.

"It is common to hear people claim that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the same God. Not true. Unlike those who worship Allah, or those Jews who claim to worship the God of Abraham, Christians worship the true and living God, who reveals himself in three persons as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit."

AMEN!!!
