I Miss the Good Ole Days at TBN

Reader Comments (7)

Well think of it this way... we're still getting full entertainment value. Paul Jr.'s daughter #1 'Brittany' is suing TBN for financial mismanagement, fraud, physical intimidation, sexual harassment and "unlawful financial transactions that exceed $50 million!"

And Paul Jr.'s 19-year old daughter #2 'Carra' 19 years old, filed a suit saying a 30-year-old TBN employee had raped her when she was 13. Carra’s lawsuit says TBN “deliberately covered up the incident to protect Trinity Broadcasting from negative publicity.”

And if you're into horror movies, be sure and check out Paul Crouch Sr. and Matt Crouch's YouTube video entitled: "Paul Crouch Says God Kills Anybody Against TBN."

Now I wonder... could all this be the result of Paul Jr. exposing all that evil "backward masking?"

Funny stuff indeed . A good friend and I back in the day decided to randomly do this and guess what , if you want your kids to like cheese then play Kiss Shout it out Loud , because to our shock it has numerous spots when it repeats "Have a piece of cheese " over and over in the chorus I believe if my recall is right. Hey don't judge me I was a young man , now I only listen to that fine CCM music , oh and Stairway To Heaven forwards thank you .

I found out I deserved the devil from listening to Alabama's "Love in the first degree backwards!" I would never have known otherwise.

I'm still hoping someone preserved a video of DR. Horton's appearance on TBN when he was promoting his first book, Mission Accomplished, will post it on YouTube someday. That interview was my introduction to Reformed theology! I even looked up the host who is now in sales for TBN, and he couldn't find it in their archives. so we need an All-Points-Bulletin for some long-time WHI fan who happened to have his VCR ready that day!

John:

I think Mike may still have it on video--he was on with Jim McClellen (not Paul and Jan) while Michael was still attending Biola.

RC was on "Praise the Lord" once with Paul and Jan. He was talking about the fact that miracles ceased after the age of the apostles, only to have Paul Crouch recount how a man came back from the dead, while Paul Crouch's father was preaching the recently deceased's funeral sermon. RC (who was not very familiar with Paul and Jan) shrugged and said, "it only takes one miracle like that to prove me wrong." I'm not sure he thought Crouch was serious.

The best TBN moment is either Ken Hagin's "Minnie the Moocher" rap in tongues, or Jan's "chicken resurrection."

If he has it, please have him post it on the WHI YouTube channel!

Jan and Paul: They age with the decades, but the bad wigs and the bad theology stay the same.
