Richard:

A-Rod's "chat" about hitting with Bonds was on all the Yankee blogs/fan sites this morning. Yankee fans didn't like him much before the 2009 WS victory--but A-Rod had a great WS and did much to win fans over. But no sooner was the team walking off the field than Scott Boros announced A-Rod would decline his option and become a free agent. From that moment on, Yankee fans have detested the guy. Every scandal since just makes it worse. The fair weather fans cheer for him, but the die-hard Yankee fans (like me) want him gone, period. So, the reports go, does Hal Steinbrenner.

The Yankees are hoping that at some point soon, A-Rod is physically unable to play, and they can recoup some of his salary through ins., and then finally ban the guy from all team facilities.

But A-Rod is absolutely devoid of common-sense. The last person on earth he should be talking to is Barry Bonds. He'd never see the problem. Apparently, he's a bright guy and walking baseball encyclopedia, but the PED's have killed whatever remained of shame.
