This Week's White Horse Inn

The Narrow Gate

Jesus tells his disciples that “the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life…” Is Jesus teaching a kind of salvation by works? And when Jesus says, “Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom,” is he saying that we need to add good works to our confession in order to qualify for heaven? On this edition of White Horse Inn recorded during our recent listener cruise, the hosts discuss these issues as they conclude their series through Christ’s Sermon on the Mount.

A New Book from Ken Samples

Ken Samples' new book is about to be released.

Here's the info from Baker Books:

Ideas have consequences, sometimes far-reaching and world-changing. The Christian faith contains many volatile truths that challenged--and continue to challenge--the cultural and religious status quo of the world. This biblical, historical, and philosophical exploration of some of Christianity's most transformational ideas offers a unique look at how the world changed when Christ and his followers came on the scene. These ideas include
  • the resurrection
  • Jesus as God incarnate
  • creation out of nothing
  • the compatibility of faith and reason
  • justification by grace through faith
  • humankind in God
  • the greater good of suffering

You can order Ken's book here:  Click Here

Ken covered this material for our both our Academy, as well as our adult Sunday school class.
