This Week at Christ Reformed Church (February 10-16)

Sunday Morning, February 16:  We will ordain and install new elders and deacons.  Our text for this coming Lord's Day is 1 Peter 5:1-11, and Peter's exhortation to elders to "shepherd the flock."  Our worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.   

Afternoon Service:  We continue our discussion of Lord's Day 18 of the Heidelberg Catechism (Q & A 46-49) looking at Christ's Ascension.  Our afternoon service begins @ 1:15 p.m.

Wednesday Night Bible Study:  February 12 @ 7:30 p.m.  We continue our series, "Reading the Bible with Paul:  How Paul Interprets the Old Testament."  We are currently focusing upon Romans 5:12-21, and the meaning of "because all sinned" (v. 12).

Friday Night Academy:  February 14, @ 7:30.  We are continuing our study of Mike Horton's theology text, The Christian Faith.  We pick up with our discussion of the incarnation (page 476).

This Week at Christ Reformed Church (February 3-9)

Note:  Our annual Congregational Meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 9.  The consistory is requesting that all church members be in attendance.

 

Sunday Morning, February 9:  As we continue our series on the Book of Romans, we come to Romans 1:16-17, a passage which many consider the theme of the entire book--"The Righteous Shall Live by Faith."  Our worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.   

Afternoon Service:  We take up Lord's Day 18 of the Heidelberg Catechism (Q & A 46-49) as we discuss Christ's Ascension.  Our afternoon service begins @ 1:15 p.m.

Wednesday Night Bible Study:  February 5 @ 7:30 p.m.  We began a new series last time, "Reading the Bible with Paul:  How Paul Interprets the Old Testament."  We will continue our study of Romans 5:12-21, and consider Paul's discussion of the two Adams in light of the history of the covenants.

Friday Night Academy:  February 7, @ 7:30.  We are continuing our study of Mike Horton's theology text, The Christian Faith.  We pick up with our discussion of the incarnation (page 473).

This Week at Christ Reformed Church (January 27-February 2)

Sunday Morning, February 2:  We have begun a new series on the Book of Romans.  This week, we will work our way through Paul's greetings and personal remarks to the Christians in Rome.  Our text for this coming Lord's Day is Romans 1:5-15.  Our worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.   

Afternoon Service:  We will discuss the resurrection of Jesus from Lord's Day 17 of the Heidelberg Catechism (Q & A 45).  Our afternoon service begins @ 1:15 p.m.
