I Told You It Was a Good Book!

Mike Horton's People and Place (my personal pick for the best book of 2008) won the 2009 Christianity Today book award for the best theology/ethics text.

Congrats Michael!

Doesn't suprise me at all. I just read Christless Christanity and loved it. I'm looking forward to reading people and places. Sounds like another top rate book by Horton.

Wow, CT's reading People and Place? I have to confess I think that's great!

Mike Horton has been the most influential writer in my understanding of truth.

But to see Horton's work to be honored next to an advertisement for Fireproof, kind of ruins it for me.

I'm thinking you might have said "I told you it was a good e-zine". Or, "Wow, CT knows what they're talking about after all!" I wonder why you feel validated in your opinion of Horton's work by something that CT has to say about it.

Mike and the rest of the crew at Whitehorse Inn have been a big help in bringing certain issues within Chriantianity into sharper focus, namely the Christlessness of so much of Christianity.

As to Bruce S's comment above: It's great to see Mike's work gain recognition in a magazine like Christianity Today, not because we're unsure if its any good (and, so, we're seeking validation from an outside source such as CT), but because it is SO GOOD that it is obvious even to a magazine like CT. It's okay, you can join the celebration.
