Friday Feature -- The Logo

There is a reason why Jerry West's silhouette is now on the NBA logo.  "Zeke from Cabin Creek" was a great player, and is one of the key figures in the NBA's rise to comparative popularity with the NFL and MLB.

Anyone else remember this game-tying shot against the Knicks?

I sure do remember it! It was the 1970 NBA finals, the 3rd game. The knicks went on to win in OT.

So do I. In fact, I recall being approached by two fellow dorm-mates who asked me to weigh in on the shot, which one claimed was around center court, the other denying it. Man, that sure seems like a long time ago. [Come to think of it, it WAS a long time ago; now Medicare is looming]
