Did She Have an Inkling?
So, when TV's most (in)famous psychic dies, I have a couple of questions.
Did she know she would get cancer? Did she know when she would die? Any inkling? I'll bet she didn't go to her doctor and tell him, "I'm getting cancer on July 1, so let us start treatments now!"
Did she party and spend all her money before the inevitable? People who do what "Miss Cleo" does for a living generally are not struggling to pay their mortgage.
When obvious frauds like this die, I have two initial reactions. The first is anger at the deception involved, followed by sadness about the gullibility of those folks who were so desperate as to send her money. The whole "psychic hotline" thing is self-evidently a crock . . . How come those who go to psychics don't ask about which horse to bet on, or which stock to buy? Well, maybe they do . . . I wouldn't know.
My other reaction other is, "may God have mercy upon her soul."
