Issues Etc is my second favorite to the Whitehorse Inn. I'd like to see more Todd Wilken on The Whitehorse. I'm sure he's busy, but in the past when you all got together it was great!

Could there be something here that both hard-shelled Reformed and Calcified Lutherans might not like? Our theologies actually do dovetail! Maybe LC-MS is finally getting over its running after the religious left! Charlie (URC)

"Using God" is a brilliant piece, Kim. I appreciate the timing as national election follies proceed.

It was a good piece! Felt needs come in so many packages, and it can be easy to discern the more ignoble expressions (read: Osteen or various and sundry prosperity gospels), while seemingly more noble ones (read: the more valiant felt needs of statecraft) seem harder for folks to identify and call them for what they are.

Don't worry, I won't plumb any questions I had while reading it that might be construed as contrarian when really they are quite honest...but I did have some.
