Who Said That?

question%20mark.jpg

This was the answer given in response to a question about why 20% of Americans could not find the US on a world map:

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere, like, such as.  And I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children."

Have fun with this one!  Please, no google searches or cheating.  You must guess.  Leave your answer in the comments section below.

I live in Lexington, SC and know many young people who attend [or attended] Lexington High School. However, I do not personally know Miss Caitlin Upton who is the young woman who answered a question in the Miss Teen USA Pageant so poorly.

Recently, The State newspaper [Columbia] ran a follow up story on Miss Upton which may be of interest to some. It can be found at: http://www.thestate.com/nation/story/267718.html

Gosh, if everyone hadn't already guessed Miss South Carolina, I would have put down Barack Obama.

Miss South Carolina is correct (maybe Miss TEEN SC...I'm not sure about that detail). The reason I'm sure? Jim Rome has been playing the audio clip DAILY on his sports talk radio show since it occured. He just can't get over it.

I personally believe that it was Ms. Teen South Carolina; but it could just as easily have been like, such as, Britney Spears or Paris Hilton.

Happy New Years everyone!

Brittney Spears or Jessica Simpson?
Perhaps Michael Jackson would have answered just as ignorantly.

And yes, it was Miss Teen South Carolina.
However, somehow I think most guys 18-30 don't really mind.

Don't have to google this one, since I did a blog on it. We were so proud of our Miss Teen South Carolina!
