If My Covenant Responsibilities Include . . .

Spider%20Web.jpg

Most Christian husbands know that their covenantal responsibilities to their wives include providing and protecting.  Protection often includes killing spiders and other pests that invade the household.  I've killed black widows, caught crickets, and sprayed for ants countless times.  This is part of my duty in protecting and providing for my wife.  I'm sure she appreciates it.

But if I ever run into a spider's web like this anywhere near my home, my wife's on her own.  And we're moving . . .

Here is the original story (Click here: Star-Telegram.com | 08/29/2007 | Giant web creates bug buzz)

I would be out of there in a second. My wife kills the spiders for me. I can do snakes, bugs and anything else, but as soon as the legs = 8, I'm gone.

Kim, We happen to have these in the trees here in Missouri! You should see what they look like in Oklahoma!! I haven't seen the monster that makes that web and don't want to either. We have one here called a brown recluse and that puppy is reeeeeeally nasty. You can google it and see pictures of what it will do to you if it bites you. But for Calif. you can keep all your black widows, and scorpions, and those real big hairy (sp) taranchulas !!!!

Kim,

I'm originally from Oklahoma. Those are the webs of Spider Mites. They build a large web around a limb of a tree for protection then they eat all the leaves they have webbed. We have them real bad in Kansas too. :-)

Guess what those two cocoon looking blobs in the upper right portion of the picture are?... The previous park rangers who got too close. This must be Shelob's continental cousin.
