Who Said That?

"Sometimes I think the environment in which we operate is entirely too secular.  The fact that we have freedom of religion does not mean we need to try to have freedom from religion, doesn't mean that those of us who have faith shouldn't frankly admit that we are animated by faith, that we try to live by it, and that it does affect what we feel, what we think, and what we do."

You know the drill!  Leave your guess in the comments section below.  Please, no google searches or cheating!

Well, he's a Baptist and his wife is a Methodist. I guess put together one still can't come up with a Presbyterian ecclesiology. The words were uttered at a White House prayer breakfast, which was initiated by Eisenhower, who said, "Our government makes no sense unless it is founded in a deeply felt religious faith and I don't care what it is."

He says "secular" like that's a bad thing. But I still count seven letters in the word, not four.

I'll go with the Methodist wife, i.e. Hillary.

That's got to be a Clinton comment. Probably not Chelsea, and though I could picture Hillary saying it (if she thought only Republicans were listening), but I'm going to have to go with Bill. Of course, he doesn't say what kind of "faith" is driving him...
