Who said that?
"Whoever says in the Spirit, `give me money,' or anything else [like that], do not listen to him."
OK . . . who said this? Please put your guess in the comments section below. No google searches please!
OK -- we don't know who said this because we don't know who wrote the Didache, one of the earliest non-canonical writings. It seemed that the early church (like ours) was plagued by religious hucksters, out to make a buck (or a denarii, or whatever). The churches were warned about men who claimed to be speaking under the guidance of the Spirit, but who then asked for money. Sound familiar?

The point is it's solidly Christian. So why does the Church get duped by the blatant/obvious traits of false-teachers?
Rick Warren now teaches God won't send "locusts" to destroy our lives if we tithe (Malachai 3:9-12) - twisting OT verses to serve his own purpose. (From trivialty to voracious devouring of the flock.)
"In the Spirit" obviously means those teachers who exploit the Word of God to get money.
