Bad Karma!

Bad Karma.jpgFor some reason, this picture (and news story--Click here: Buddhist monks clash in Cambodia amid anti-Vietnam protest ) cracked me up--Buddhist monks duking it out with each other in Cambodia.  This monk looks like he knows a thing or two about throwing a punch!

But the Buddhists are not alone.  Here's a recent story about two people stabbed during a fight between priests and nuns in a convent on the island of Cyprus.  Unfortunately, there were no pictures (Click here: Two stabbed and two arrested in convent fracas - Yahoo! News).

Yes, ours is a fallen race!  The vows undertaken by those in religious orders don't do much to control human sin.  In fact, I'll bet they just make things worse . . .

images in contradiction: now you need to find a picture of evangelicals worshipping...oh wait, you have plenty of those in your back pages.

Wonderful post, Kim! At first I was laughing (and still am) at how silly those Buddhist monks are, fighting eachother, and then hey, Christians do it too!

Hmmm...I guess it's not our word, I guess it's not our commitment that is effectual for our salvation. Hmmm...

Actually, I think he is Shaolin priest doing a poor Kwai Chang Caine imitation.

For someone who grew up watching a lot of "Kung Fu Theater" on Saturday afternoons, this is not that surprising. Looks like an old school Shaolin vs. Wu Tang throwdown.

Instant karma gonna getcha right in the face...

It amazes me how much we are prone to conflict even within our own groups (be they religious, ethnic, national, etc.)

I was under the impression that the munks were quiet and reserved, well I quess that was the good old days when they would not kill a bug. Now it looks like karma does not mean anything to them. I wonder where this monk got his training as they do not fight?

oh, come on now. that someone violates his creed doesn't make him an all-out hypocrite, folks. before we get too carried away and revel in our "gotch'ya" recall our own legacies in christendom or fractures in the unity we profess.
