Come Celebrate Reformation Day @ Christ Reformed!
You are cordially invited to join us tonight at Christ Reformed Church in Anaheim, as we celebrate Reformation Day in Scripture and in song!
Our Festival of Hymns centers around the five solas of the Reformation and begins 7:30 p.m. We have planned an evening of congregational song accompanied by choir, brass, and organ (that's our organist, Mrs. Pam Compton, who is in the Ph.D program in sacred music @ USC).
Nursery will be provided for children under 4, and all are welcome to stay for dessert and fellowship after the Hymn Festival.

You may also call the church office with additional questions (714) 538-1057
This is going to be great! I've got the program, hot in hand. We'll be singing a number of great Reformation hymns (with organ and brass), we'll hear the relevant biblical passages read for each of the five "solas," and then hear how these doctrines are presented in the Reformed confessions.
If you love the doctrines of grace, come on out and join us!

Are you a paedobaptist or a credobaptist? Mars Hill Church is Reformed (but they are credobaptist). The worship style is pretty "emergingesque" but Mark Driscoll's preaching is spot on.
Try Exile PCA. I understand it's about 20 miles from Seattle. They have spot-on preaching AND no emergi-o-sity AND paedo-baptism. (With pardons to Matthew and Driscoll, I've never been clear on how Reformed and credo-baptism go together.)

I'ts great to hear that you will use "brass" in your Reformation service.
We have a huge Reformation service put on by the WELS churches in the Phoenix area on the first Sunday in Nov. (It is held at the Arizona Lutheran Academy.)
This year, we will have six different pastors preaching on key Lutheran Reformation doctrines. Our new hymnal supplement will also make it's debut. (New songs and some added liturgies.)
I do consider myself a Reformed Baptist, and for a couple reasons. I see no other way of reading and understanding Scripture other than Covenant Theology.
Now, if someone wants to say I'm inconsistent with Reformed Theology because I'm a credobaptist, then we can have fun discussing that. But to say I'm not Reformed at all I think misses the point. I hold Calvin's view of the Lord's Supper, and I do view both sacraments (I hate the word ordinance) as means of grace.
Am I inconsistent? Maybe. But if so, then inconsistently Reformed. :)
Yours in Christ,
Matt
I vote for inconsistent. But I think Dr. Muller is a much better discussion partner than me.

There is also a pca called crosspoint with Michael Kelly as pastor. Not sure though. sounds kinda seeker. Yeah I just hit mars hill site and put on a video sermon. It was hard to watch as he had 30 foot neon lights behind him. check it out. good message, seeker style
Just clicked Mars Hill myself and noted two things. Mark Driscoll was wearing a tee-shirt with a picture of what was supposed to be Jesus on it. When I clicked next, the 2nd sermone started with a cartoon performance.
Looks like postmodern entertainment style rather than Reformed. Wouldn't be my cup of tea.
I prefer straight, Free Presbyterian, hits you right between the eyes preaching.
Jason,
somewhere in pa.
