This comes from Jan Shipps, an expert on Mormon history and culture, in regards to the selection of Thomas Monson to be the new prophet, seer and revelator of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). Shipps was quoted by The Washington Post (Feb. 5)

The question arises though, which "God" were they saying he speaks for? Himself?
t's amazing how much of what passes for "Christianity" nowadays could have made that statement.
