Who Said That?

question%20mark.jpg“This is not just the head of the Lutheran Church or a Methodist bishop. It's something different. He is a prophet. ... He can speak for God.”

My guess: the new grand poobah of the Mor(m)ons. You know, whatsisname. Not Gordon Hinckley.

I don't know who said it, but they were talking about Thoams Monson, the new top dog Mormon.
The question arises though, which "God" were they saying he speaks for? Himself?

Actually, it could be any of several Catholics I've dealt with lately, talking about the office of the Pope :-) Or, it could just as easily be some whacko in the "Apostolic" (i.e., end times restoration ) movement talking about the latest silk suit to claim "the calling of Apostle." Or, it could be from the Mormons, too.

t's amazing how much of what passes for "Christianity" nowadays could have made that statement.

Papa Ratzi? Though I don't usually hear talk about the Pope as "prophet".

Yep, probably whoever the new LDS Gran Jefe is.

The key word for me was "prophet." I would guess the new leader of LDS.

Huckabee - his reference to Kenneth Copeland while seeking campaign contributions from "his good friend"... or it could be someone "experiencing" LDS or LSD.

Huckabee explaining why he begged for money from Kenneth Copland. :-)

You still have not posted who said it in two posts from back in January 14th and 17th I think but I could be wrong on the dates.

I immediately thought of a Mormon after reading the quote.
