I've Got "Issues"

I will be a guest on "Issues, Etc.," tomorrow talking with Pastor Todd Wilken about some of the differences between Calvinism and Lutheranism.  If you know the "Issues" program and our history, you'll know that this will not be a debate but a discussion among friends about where we agree and where we don't.

You can listen tomorrow (Tuesday, 1-2 p.m. PT): Click here: Issues, Etc. Radio Program

I'll post the MP3 here when I get the link (probably Wednesday).

I guss after all of the discussion, which sounds like a good one, are you going to get a picture with Miss America?

The inclusion of Ms. America reminded me of a Praise the Lord line-up on TBN.

Hey Everybody listen to the Dec 10 broadcast of Issues Etc entitled "Denominational Differences" if you really want the background as to why this discussion w/ Kim is going to take place later today.

If you are a Calvinist in your interpretation of Sotieriology, you don't want to miss that program. That is sufficient background for today's appearance by Kim.

And I have to say, in light of that Dec 10 program, Hat's off to Jeff and Todd at Issues for going ahead and scheduling this program later today

I just missed the Issues, Etc. program. I look forward to catching it on your MP3 post. (By the time that I tuned in, they were already into the Miss America time frame.)

I'm glad this broadcast took place. The audio quality was terrible for some reason - I had to crank the volume way up and I still felt like I was listening to pre-WWII shortwave radio.

Nevertheless, Dr. Kim did an excellent job of articulating the major differences between Lutheran and Reformed in the short amount of time that he had without taking things to such a technical level that Lutherans, like myself, would get lost.

Web sites like the Riddleblog and Heidelblog are great for discussions between those within the Reformed/Presbyterian churches who know the names, history, and major issues. But we outsiders can get lost in short order. This kind of dialog, however, is beneficial for both sides to grasp a quick understanding. It was great!

I listened to the whole program and thought your answers were great. You did a great job explaining the reformed position on TULIP and the sacraments in a very short amount of time. Two thumbs up.
