Any number of Baptists I've encountered along the journey...?
Somewhat more seriously I'd guess Mr. Purpose Driven himself, Rick Warren.

Jimmah Carter? Billy Graham? Rev. Rick? Could be any number of people.

Rick Warrren is infamous for his "deeds, not creeds" stand...and I'll attribute this to him as well.

The postman guy from Seinfeld, I could look it up but that would involve googling it. I only remember this because reference was made to it in a conversation with a friend of mine in Saturday,

Yes RK Brumbleow is right! It was driving me crazy because I just heard that exact quote less than 2 days ago. It was Newman on Seinfeld during a conversation with George.

Of course it’s a pretty simple quote and could probably be attributed to a number of people.

When George wants Newman to by him Steinbrenner's newfound favorite lunch, the Pizon. George can't buy the Pizon because he got caught trying to remove a tip from the tip jar, which he was giving in the first place to display his generosity. As is George's luck, the pizzeria owner didn't see George leaving the tip but looked in time to see George remove the money since his display went unnoticed, thus banned George because he thought he was stealing. George enlists Newman to purchase the Pizon since it's on his mailing route. Newman blackmails George to include food for Newman's lunches. George then catches Newman not on his route and making the needed purchases to appease his crazy boss. Newman claims he doesn't work when it's raining and George confronts Newman with the classic postman creed, at which point Newman goes all pietist.

Zrim, you are a wonder! I thought I was the only one whose head was crammed with such a jumble of information, apparently unrelated until moments like these...

I am ashamed. I've seen every Seinfeld episode at least twice and missed it!
