Bynum's Back!
Former prophetess now dubbed "Christian Celebrity" Juanita Bynum is back in action. After her celebrated divorce from Bishop Thomas Weeks III and a dust-up with the IRS, she's going to "preach" (more like scream) at a "Revival" in Tampa. 1,700 are expected! She's ready for ministry again after "a re-birthing and redefining." Maybe that's what I need. Meanwhile, Rev. Debra Hafner thinks the meaning of the recent ELCA decision regarding gay clergy overlooks single clergy who shouldn't be forced to miss out on sex just because they are not married. "All of this is excellent news for same-sex couples, of course, but the emphasis on `committed, lifelong relationships' leaves out the single minister, the divorced minister, the widowed minister -- whether gay, straight, or bisexual -- who must still adhere to a standard of celibacy unless their partner status changes." What's a delinquent tax? Is it some kind of imposition on troublesome urban youths?
Cat theology: My human cares for me, feeds me, pampers me, worries about how I feel - I must be God!

It's interesting to me how someone can schedule a revival. Since revival is a move of the Holy Spirit, one might just as well try to schedule a hailstorm. (Or maybe a tornado in Minneapolis.)
