Hey, I'm on Vacation

What more could you want?

A cool mountain breeze . . .

A good cigar . . .

An ice cold adult beverage . . .

A good book (a new biography of Constantine) . . .

And my snuggie . . .

And then we went on a nice hike out of Lake Mary.

Hey, I'm on vacation!

That photo is absolutely laugh-out-loud hilarious. You are one cool Calvinist.

Kim, these kind of posts must be banned from the blogosphere. Too cruel for all of us still stuck in the husse and bussle! ;-)

Dr. Riddelbarger,

I find myself...speechless...the cigar, book and beverage all look like they belong but the... snuggie. Is someone messing with your website? Maybe they photoshoped over your regular clothes. I guess not. I have the same feeling I had when I learn that D.G. Hart is a cat lover. Oh well, your human. I just don't get the popularity of the snuggie.

I was baptized as an infant in a garment very much like your snuggie -- only it was white (I have pictures).

Perhaps the snuggie (in white) could become the new baptismal garment for adult baptism in the 21st century. :)

"Is there a Mr. Gump, Mizzes Gump?"

"He's on vacation."

"Mama, what's 'vacation' mean?"

"Vacation's when you go somewhere... and you never come back."

OK....let's play "guess the adult beverage." The bottle is green, obviously an import, a German brew? Becks, Gutmann. (Please don't tell me it's cider). Is that a smuggled Cuban you're puffing on? As far as the snuggie goes, all you need is a red felt hat to look like Papa Smurf.

I'm with Mark. A snuggie? Why would you even need one of those in California?

No! Not the snuggie! This is not my pastor, what did you do to him!
he, he, he.

I can overlook the cigar and "adult beverage" as a Baptist. But the Snuggie? Wow, that will take a lot of God's grace for me to live in grace with that one.

For a guy named Kim, you sure are cool. The brew and the cigar: the Methodists and Southern Baptists must be flipping their lids. Keep sinnin' boldly. :)

I have heard of smoking jackets, but this has to be a first, a smoking snuggie. On the bleeding edge of fashion again. If only you had something more comfortable than those white resin chairs.

Constantine is that dude that manufactured the Bible, right? I read about that in The DiVinci Code.

Sounds like a great vacation to me! ...minus the Snuggie

Praise the Lord Jesus

I’m of the Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal way and it seems like you are having a good time. What appears to be a Beer and smoking a cigar, I’m not your judge. I’m a person of Grace but being a Leader and Pastor it could be a stumbling block to a babe or a seeker (sinner). Grace produces Holiness and Godliness, by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. God delivered me from Drugs , Alcohol, Smoking and other things(sins).

Jeffrey:

If you are not my judge, why bother to post such a judgmental reply?

I'm glad our gracious God has delivered you from those things which enslaved you. But you'll have to give me some biblical justification to prove consuming adult beverages in moderation and enjoying an occasional cigar are sins.

Meanwhile, I'll strive to live by Galatians 5:1, 13.

Dr. Kim Riddlebarger,

I’m an advocate of Once saved is always saved. But our liberty is not for an occasion to the flesh. Our liberty is to walk with God. (Enoch Pleased God, a man of Faith and was taken). I know you have a Doctorate Degree in Biblical studies. Some things may be lawful but not expedient. We Love God with all our hearts, minds, soul and strength and our neighbors as ourselves, in Jesus name

(Ref. also Titus 2:11-15)

Have a Jesus Day
