This Week at Christ Reformed Church (January 13-19)

Sunday Morning (January 19, 2014):  We are continuing our series on the Gospel of John, and considering Jesus' Upper Room Discourse.  Our text for this coming Lord's Day is John 16:16-24, when Jesus comforts his disciples with the promise that God will meet all our needs in times of trouble. 

Note:  Our worship services will be conducted in the Fellowship Hall for several weeks while the sanctuary undergoes a major renovation.

Sunday Afternoon:  We are studying the Canons of Dort, and considering the "second head" of doctrine.  We'll be talking about the universal offer of the Gospel (CD 2.5-7).  Our afternoon catechism service begins @ 1:15 p.m. 

Wednesday Night Bible Study (January 15, 2014):  We return to our series "Studies in the Book of Revelation."  We'll pick up where we left off last time with Rev. 12.  We'll do a brief bit of review and then turn to the fourth cycle of John's vision (Rev. 12:1-14:20).  Bible study begins at 7:30 p.m.

Our Friday Night Academy (resumes January 24, 2014):  We will return to our study of Michael Horton's theology text, The Christian Faith, and we'll pick up with part two, chapter six, (223) with the doctrine of God.
