This Week at Christ Reformed Church (October 1-7)

Sunday Morning, October 7:  We will continue our study of Zechariah as part of our series on the Minor Prophets.  We will be considering the first "night vision" in Zechariah 1:7-17.  Our worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Note:  Our New Members Class continues this week @ 9:00 a.m., in room 601.  I'll be presenting a quick survey of the history of the Reformed Churches.

Sunday Afternoon:  We are currently making our way through the Belgic Confession.  We have come to article 23, and the doctrine of justification.  Our afternoon service begins at 1:15 p.m.  

Wednesday Night Bible Study (October 3) @ 7:30 p.m.  We are continuing our series Apologetics in a Post-Christian Age.  We begin our discussion of the relationship between faith and reason.  

The Academy (October 5):  We are working our way through the concluding lectures in our lecture/discussion series based upon Allen Guelzo's Teaching Company Course, The American Mind.   Our lecture this week is "Ironic Judgments" (Reinhold Niebuhr and the Protestant liberal establishment).
