The quote is from Pinchas Lapide, Orthodox Jewish scholar, best known for his book, The Resurrection of Jesus:  A Jewish Perspective (SPCK, 1984).

This  quote came from the TV evangelist who prided himself on not being a TV evangelist, the late Gene Scott.  Scott was in the middle of a rant about his ex-wife, who had given an interview to the LA Times about the Scott's former marriage.  This was back in the days when the FCC was threatening to take away Scott's broadcast license.  Scott called his ex the Antichrist's sister and then launched into a tirade the likes of which I have never seen, and which I cannot repeat.

This is a quote from Muhammad `Isa Da'ud, who calls himself the Egyptian "Sinbad."  A very popular writer who attempts to tie UFO's, the Bermuda Triangle, and current events together from an Islamic perspective.  Sounds like some prophecy pundits we may know!  His books sell in the millions are are widely read throughout the Arabic-speaking world.  Can't help but wonder how much Islamic eschatological expectation is driving events in Egypt.

The exact quote comes from David Cook's Contemporary Muslim Apocalyptic Literture (Syracuse University Press, 2005), 130.  He is citing from Da'ud's 1997 best-selling book Al-Mahdi al-muntazar `ala al-abwah (Cairo)

This is a quote from a speech given in the mid 1880's by the prominent Rabbi, Max Lilienthal, looking back on the secular benefits of the "American doctrine of the separation of church and state," which Lilienthal saw as essential to Judaism existing in America.  Cited in Philip Hamburger, Separation of Church and State (Harvard, 2002), 393.

This Hamilton's lame defense against the anti-federalist accusation that under the US Constitution, judges will end-up legislating from the bench.  Hamilton sure got this one wrong.
