Who Said That?

question mark.jpgWho Said That?

"Don't pray no stupid prayers"

I'm giving you an easy one this time!  Hint--repeat the quote with a drawl.  Leave your answer in the comments section.  But try and guess who this is before looking at the comments.  No cheating or google searches.

It could be dad Hagin or Hagin Jr.

Jeff did you just say that Kenneth HAgin is your Dad?
October 10, 2006 | Unregistered Commentertiminator
Speaking of Hagin, Copeland, etc. ...

The "name it/claim it," "create your own reality," "just speak it into existence by the power of your words" philosophy of the "health/wealth" folks makes neither scientific nor theological sense.

Then again ... it evidently works ... ... ... to a degree.

But only because of the gullibility of those who listen and respond to this hocus/pocus garbage (i.e., by sending their $$$ to those who ask for it). I think it's called "fleecing the flock."

I can almost hear that nonsense coming from the mouth of Kenneth Copeland like I was one of the gullible thousands attending one of his crusades. Amen?

ugh...bad theology (i am sure) being communicated with bad grammar. could it get any worse? which one is worse to a double english major?! one of my own revered english profs had a great word for grammtical faux pau's: "barbarism." we were knocked down, for instance, one whole grade for sustituting "their" for "there."

as for a guess...who knows. i will bet it's someone sympathetic to equally uncouth revivialism in general...uh...my first pastor.
