More Christ Reformed Audio Posted

The techies at Christ Reformed have posted a number of audio files of my sermons preached long ago at Christ Reformed.

These include a number of series and occasional sermons:

The Drama of Redemption (Exodus, Leviticus)

The Drama of Redemption (Numbers, Deuteronomy)

The Drama of Redemption (Joshua)

The Drama of Redemption (Judges)

Mark

Reformation Sundays

Do your techies have any MP3, or WMA formats? I can't load Real Player on an MP3 player... I am teaching Mark to our High Schoolers and have been waiting for your audio to use in my studying.

The other series that Kim didn't mention are all streaming real player, but the ones he mentioned they have converted to mp3.

I was bummed too to see that the Revelation & Romans series are still in real player streaming format. At least if they were in downloadable real player format (.rm or .ra) I could convert them myself to .mp3, but in their 'streaming only' (.ram) format, they are quite useless.

At least they have converted some of them, so thats a start. I don't think anyone left on the planet uses real player. It's a good lesson to be learned to all - It's always best to use a universal format for audio files rather than a specialized format. All those people using Itunes files should take note of that - not everybody uses IPOD's -I use a sandisk sanza as my portable mp3 player, so my files need to be .mp3 or .wma only.
I refuse to be shoehorned into using a specialized format for anything. I was the same way about Divx video. Once the monopoly is broken and other companies join the party, those special formats become outdated.

On second look, It is not true that the ones Kim mentioned are converted to mp3 format.

The only ones converted seem to be all of the Judges series, and the last several sermons from the Joshua series.

Number & Deuteronomy, Exodus & Leviticus, and all the others mentioned are still in .ram format. Which means they can only be listened to while connected to the internet on your computer and it uses real player. (yes, apparently, people used to have time to actually do this).
Oh well, at least Judges is finally downloadable.

I desperately want to hear the Rev and Romans. Please put them in mp3. A lot us cannot hear them as they are.
