More Irresponsible Behavior from Our Congress
Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:15AM
While speaking at the National Press Club luncheon, Democratic Congressman John Conyers(D-Mich.), who is also the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, mocks the need to read bills before voting on them, because it takes two lawyers to interpret them and more than two days to work through them! And this from the chair of the Judiciary Committee????
Since chairman Conyers will not be subject to the same health care reforms my family will be (the congress will retain all their current gold-package health care benefits regardless of what bill ultimately makes its way through congress), I guess there's no need for him to even know what is in the bill.
This is infuriating.

I will have to side with Pat T on his post on the fishy stuff regarding the Obama healthcare plan. I cannot emphasize this enough, this administration is out to control behavior. Their views on the envirenment, healthcare, extra taxes on fatty foods, etc, is just the start of how they will be attempting to control the behavior of people.
Obama and the Journo rags are brainwashing the folks that are not informed, and have no interest in researching what in the heck is going on here.
The government of the United states, in the direction that it is heading, will soon be attempting to control what we preach from the pulpits.
Reg, you know how I feel about what is happening in America (the government is getting bigger, and getting into areas of control that it has no right getting into). Please read, study and understand Pastor Kim's post to me on this subject matter. He is right on!!!
Bill, Lloyd - Amen and Amen.
The End...Really.
It is good to get a lady's perspective on this stuff! Us guy's are always duking it out, it is good to welcome a woman into the fray!
Speak on!
Were you this vigilant about our freedoms during the W years? Seems to me he was even less civil liberty inclined than the current crew.
Pat , I have little faith in politicians of left or right. Would that there were a moderate middle again. But I think it is getting a little chicken littleish out there lately. There is plenty real stuff to worry about without latching on to paranoia.
over and out.
I agree with you and Pat T.
Over and out!
... There are some who are latching on to paranoia, but, I am a realist, they really are out to get me! :-)
Take care!
