This was a proposed Mustang "Wagon" (1979). For reasons which should be obvious, the "Fox Body" hatchback won out over the proposed wagon. This time, Ford didn't have a better idea and thankfully stuck to the hatchback.

This is the oldest known photo of Abraham Lincoln, from the early 1840's. Early Lincoln photos
One of the readers of this blog has an odd sense of humor (much as I do, apparently) and sent me the above picture. All I can say is "I have a face well-suited for radio" and not so much for the big screens.
Any guesses as to what/where this might be?

I've never been a big fan of the stuff--even of single malt. I'm a craft beer guy. Here's a clip from the delightful 1955 film Mr. Roberts in which Henry Fonda, Jack Lemmon, and William Powell discuss the taste of scotch and how one might make their own--under wartime conditions, of course.
I am truly amazed by the wonderful advances in medical technology.

I hope this man's friends and family chip in and buy him a hat (or better a beenie) until his new nose is finally transplanted.
Wonderful? Yes. But also creepy. I guess Picasso was more of a visionary than I thought.
I receive lots of email advertisements and promos from companies I've ordered from in the past.
But this one struck me as rather odd. I can envision someone wanting to buy this guitar, or even this fake Christmas tree. But why would anyone buying this particular guitar, buy it because they would also get a free fake Christmas tree?
What am I missing here?
Young Wilton Norman stands out a bit . . .
